Hi! I’m Joan Calarco. I’m happy to be teaching this class to new quilters or
anyone who enjoys learning “with guidance.” In this class, we’ll create a
quilt top which I call “Easy Peasy” and apply quilting techniques which you
will use throughout your quilting experience.
I’ve always been intrigued by quilts. It wasn’t until I retired from teaching
that I found a new love - quilting, and since then I wake up each morning
excited about what I can learn today. My teachers have been the staff of
Sentimental Stitches in Cold Springs Harbor LI and Deborah’s Quilt Basket
here in Venice. I’ve taken on-line courses in EQ8 with Kari Schell, and I
have grown as a quilter because of the wonderful classes offered by our
Guild. I can’t neglect to mention the hands on learning that takes place at
every meeting, in my circle - Match ’n Patch.
If you would like to have step by step support while making a quilt top, this
is a course for you. I named it “Easy Peasy” for a reason. I can’t wait to
meet you!
